Hallmark University’s President is Appointed to the Board of Directors of The Dee Howard Foundation

President Fisher Brings Insight from Higher Education to Foundation’s Collection of Industry Leaders

San Antonio, Texas: Hallmark University’s President and CEO Joe Fisher joins The Dee Howard Foundation’s Board of Directors, bringing with him nearly thirty years of experience in higher education and training aircraft technicians for the aviation industry. President Fisher's experience in higher education will assist the foundation's mission to drive innovation within aviation and support programs focused on training a skilled workforce for the South Texas region.

Founded in memory of San Antonio’s legendary pioneer, The Dee Howard Foundation empowers aviation by supporting the development of innovative technology and training a skilled workforce for the local industry. Hallmark University has worked closely with the foundation since its inception, supporting its mission by training skilled Aircraft Technicians and developing programs that enhance San Antonio's status as a leader of the aviation industry. President Fisher’s appointment to the Board of Directors will further support The Dee Howard Foundation’s success in carrying out its mission, providing insight from a leader of higher education who has focused much of his career on developing a capable workforce for San Antonio’s largest industries.

“I first met Dee in 1970 when The Dee Howard Co. (DHC) had seventy-five employees in one hangar at San Antonio International Airport” shared Wayne Fagan, Founder and President of the DHF. “Over the years DHC grew to over 1,500 employees and 750,000 square feet of buildings. Hallmark University was a go to provider of skilled workers for and a valued partner of DHC. The Dee Howard Foundation is honored to have Joe Fisher carry on the Hallmark-Dee Howard legacy by serving on the DHF Board of Directors.”

San Antonio is home to aeronautics corporations, Air Force bases, and more, making aviation one of the city's largest employers. The local aviation sector's immense size makes The Dee Howard Foundation's role vital in San Antonio's future success. As the world's dependence on aviation grows with each passing day, the devotion and insight of leaders from the San Antonio community will drive efforts to support the city's standing and bring focus to the importance of education, innovation, and a skilled workforce.
