DHF

Drone Education Initiative

Now Seeking Partners

DHF is providing aerospace education access to students and families across South Texas. Introducing the…

DHF Two-Year Pilot Drone Program

Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) are aircraft and associated elements which are operated with no pilot on board (drones). Industries from oil and gas production, to agriculture, architecture, entertainment, real estate, insurance, police, military, and government are using UAS. Schools must modernize and compete to deliver value to the communities they serve. UAM connects the dots for students between the curriculum and employment opportunities in our local Aerospace Industry.

Meet Brandon Welch

Brandon Welch, Senior at Wagner HS in Judson ISD, was the first DHF Drone Student to take and pass the FAA Part 107 Exam.

"My advice for future drone pilots is, don’t treat the drone you have now like a toy, it is a tool you can use for your career in the future."

Students: Prepare for High-Demand, High-Wage Jobs

Selected Middle and High Schools are participating in this 2-Year Pilot Program. Interested students can contact DHF for enrollment and information.
